They play a blend orchestral music and jazz influenced by the sounds that permeated Congo Square. Congo Square is also the title of an African-themed jazz score by Wynton Marsalis and Yacub Addy . It consists of arrangements for big band as well as traditional African drum and vocal ensemble from Ghana.

Volunteering with the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation is a unique opportunity to connect with your community, experience the culture of our city firsthand, and help celebrate heritage and traditions.

The 2024 Congo Square Rhythms Festival presented by the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation returns to Louis Armstrong Park and Congo Square on Saturday, March 23, and Sunday, March 24, with two performance stages and large local food and arts markets.
