There shouldn't be an issue bringing your own food/drink. Earlier in 2019, around June all the cafes etc were closed as some renovations were being undertaken but the tables and seats still accessible. Even with them open again there should not be a problem with sitting down with your own food/drink
Yup! I did when I was there. There is however a big antennae farm close by that may cause some interference though so stay away from that area though when flying.
