If you have the time in the Seward area, it's a nice hike and not too hard. We saw a few young kids on the trail. But if you're pressed for time or hoping for a very cool glacier encounter, don't f… HHess19的完整评论

We’re 66 years old and went pretty slow with our group, but we got to the top and I was amazed at the enormity of the glacier and how much it is receded over the years , People should realize global … ttowntriper的完整评论

Can you walk the Exit Glacier Trail in the evening or is it closed? We don't want to do the longer more strenuous hike, but wondering if we can do the viewing trail after dinner one night since the sun is out til 10pm while we are there. Thanks!

The NPS website has the most up to date info on operating hours. I don't think you can go hike that late: nps dot gov, and search exit glacier
问:
Is there an admission fee?
答:
No there are no fees to visit exit glacier. Just drive yourself there and have a great time walking to the glacier.

I was just there yesterday. I did not do a ranger led tour. However, there was an activity sign outside the visitor center and it listed about 6 times during the day where you could take a ranger led tour. It did not appear that you had to sign up in advance. Additionally if you choose to just walk to the glacier on your own you will find rangers stationed at the glacier. They were very willing to answer questions, take pictures and provide information. It’s a nice walk.

I just did this last week. I am 51, in average shape/fitness, but slightly overweight. I did have to stop and catch my breath a few times (as my teenagers rolled their eyes at me) but had no real trouble making it as far as I wanted to go. If I had wanted to do the full-hike to the end, I'm sure it would have taken several hours. But going to the 2nd observation area took about 20-30 minutes. You should have no problem!
