圣彼得堡是位于美国佛罗里达州，滨墨西哥湾的一个城市。为开辟该地有功的彼德·狄曼斯，以其家乡俄罗斯圣彼得堡命名而来。 由于长年日照充足，遂有“阳光之城”的美誉，而当地人通常昵称该市为“圣彼得”，也影响邻近圣彼得海滩于1994年改成现名。 1876年由来自密歇根州底特律的约翰·C·威廉斯购买这片土地。透过彼德·狄曼斯投入资金，该地于1888年建成铁路。聚居了300人的圣彼得堡正式于1892年2月29日开埠。
