Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer says he won’t resign his post, despite pressure from some in the party after he voted to move forward with Republican spending legislation that avoided a government shutdown.

The Senate minority leader also shut down comparisons between calls for him to step aside and last year's calls for former President Joe Biden to drop out.
