Brandon Nimmo launched a three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth for the New York Mets to tie the visiting New York Yankees 6-6 in their spring training finale Monday in Port St. Lucie, Fla.

The Yankees have been adding pitching this week because they’ll begin the season with three-fifths of their projected rotation and six relievers on the injured list. Two other starters are injured, a depth piece and a top prospect.

Austin Wells emerging as a leadoff hitter, J.C Escarra winning the backup catching role and Ben Rice hitting well to become a designated option are positive devlopments for the Yankees.
