Necas breaks tie late in 3rd, Avalanche edge Oilers in teams' final game before 4 Nations
EDMONTON -- Martin Necas broke a tie with the game-winning goal late in the third period, and the Colorado Avalanche won 5-4 against the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place on Friday. Necas took a cross-crease pass from Nathan MacKinnon and snapped a shot short side past Calvin Pickard's stick to put Colorado ahead 5-4 at 15:37 of the third period.
The game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Friday at Rogers Place in Edmonton. Coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. on 9NEWS and KTVD.
