EA and Hazelight announced sci-fi co-op game Split Fiction. Earlier this month, the game launched to rave reviews and is a massive success. And reportedly there’s now a bidding war between different studios all interested in turning hit game into a movie.

The game is designed to be played by two players and features gameplay mechanics involving split-screen combat, platforming challenges, and varied levels of abilities for different characters. Split Fiction comes from Hazelight Studios who brought us the mega-hit 2021 game It Takes Two, which had its own rights snapped up in April 2022 by Amazon.

Split Fiction, the just-released new game from co-op specialist developer Hazelight Studios, is already in talks for a movie adaptation. That's according to a new report from Variety, citing sources at GDC in San Francisco.
