Inveraray Castle is home to one of the most important private collections of historical archives in all of Britain—a collection of records, documents and diaries, dating back to the 13th century.

As well as being a visitor attraction, Inveraray Castle is home to the Duke of Argyll and his family. Many Scottish castles have become hotels where people can relax or even host a wedding.
