A statement allegedly drafted by Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds asking Justin Baldoni to take 'accountability' for the bad press surrounding 'It Ends with Us' has been released by Baldoni's legal team.

After countersuing Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds and the actress’ publicist Leslie Sloane for defamation and extortion, the Jane the Virgin alum, 41, is coming forward with more evidence to defend himself against the Gossip Girl star’s sexual harassment allegations.

Justin Baldoni alleges that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds drafted a statement for him to accept blame for It Ends with Us's troubled production.

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s dispute stemming from their film “It Ends With Us” has included lawsuits and an all-out public loathing spree, with a trial now set to begin in March 2026.

Baldoni’s lawsuit also alleged that he felt “obliged” to accept and praise a revised version of the rooftop scene allegedly written by Lively (who later claimed it was written by her husband Ryan Reynolds) for fear of incurring the wrath of Reynolds and Lively’s best friend, Taylor Swift.

The actress sued her “It Ends With Us” co-star in December 2024, with Baldoni filing his own legal action against Lively the following month.
