(WHTM) — The Quaker Oats Company has announced that it is expanding its December recall of various granola bars and cereal products for the second time, due to the risk of salmonella contamination.

General Mills, the Minneapolis-based company that makes products including Nature Valley granola bars and Cheerios cereal, declined to comment. Chicago-based Quaker Oats, a unit of PepsiCo Inc.
