SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. - A high-speed police chase ended on the Santa Monica Pier on Wednesday after the driver led officers from Ventura County into Los Angeles County.

The driver hit two cars and nearly struck a pedestrian during a chase that stretched from Simi Valley to Santa Monica.

The driver of a stolen utility van led police on a dangerous pursuit through surface streets in West Los Angeles on Wednesday. The multi-county pursuit began eastbound on the 118 Freeway in Simi Valley. The driver continued on the 405 Freeway through the San Fernando Valley into the city of Santa Monica.
