NBA pick Luka Doncic, recently traded from the Mavericks to the Lakers, will not make his return to play the Pacers Saturday.

The Lakers released their injury report for their game against the Pacers and it included Luka Doncic, LeBron James and Mark Williams.

As the Lakers transition to a new stage of the franchise's future, Doncic has been nursing a calf injury that's kept him sidelined since Dec. 25, 2024. According to Tony East, the Lakers have officially ruled out Doncic for the team's matchup against the Pacers.

The Lakers' new superstar hasn't played in a game since Christmas. Lakers and Clippers games over the weekend were postponed because of the fires. "The entire NBA family sends its thoughts and support to the community of Los Angeles during this challenging time," the league said.

With possibly no LeBron James, the Lakers’ role players will have to step up and play extraordinarily well against the visiting Pacers on Saturday.
