Self-proclaimed misogynist Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan arrived in Florida last week from Romania, where they are facing charges of human trafficking, setting off a fervor of concern and anger – and a state-level criminal investigation.

Despite their leaving the state, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier on Monday said an investigation into the Tate brothers "is still ongoing."

Social media influencer brothers — and fervent supporters of President Donald Trump — Andrew and Tristan Tate appear to have left Florida after getting the cold shoulder from Gov. Ron DeSantis and becoming subjects of a state criminal investigation.

The abrupt departure of Andrew and Tristan Tate, who had been held in Romania for two years, raised questions about whether the Trump administration had intervened.
