BART service in Eastern Contra Costa County resumed Thursday morning, hours after deadly overnight crash on Highway 4 in which a driver went off the roadway and ended up on the train tracks.

The Fruitvale and Lake Merritt stations in Oakland were both closed, BART said. There were delays on the Berryessa line in the Dublin/Pleasanton, Berryessa, Richmond and Daly City directions.
