A round of strong to severe thunderstorms is expected to move across north Alabama late Sunday night into early Monday morning. All severe hazards are possible including damaging wind, large hail and a few tornadoes. Another threat of severe weather may materialize toward the middle of next week as well.

Sunday looks to feature the greatest threat — more than 25 million people are in an enhanced risk zone, which covers much of the Mississippi and Ohio Valleys.
