One person has been displaced after a house fire in Geauga County. According to the Montville Township Fire Department, the fire broke out Thursday morning in the 8500 block of Plank Road.

The Chardon Fire Department posted about reports of the gas smells in Geauga County on its Facebook page, and it also said that the gas companies attributed the smells to excessive mercaptan levels.
