Ducklings follow their mother at Freedom Lake Park in Pinellas Park on Saturday. Mom led her offspring through the grass during a break in the rain, then they followed her across the lake.

Their destination? A creek more than a quarter of a mile away.At 8:30 a.m., the mother duck roused her 16 ducklings. She hopped out of their treetop nest and encouraged her babies to follow.
