A nifty new Gmail capability powered by Google’s Gemini AI has arrived for Google Workspace customers. Starting Monday, users can add events to a Google Calendar directly from an email.
In Google's latest update to Workspace, Gemini will be able to add calendar appointments from Gmail with a single click. Well, assuming Gemini gets it right the first time, which is far from certain.
Access requires an AI Premium plan or Google Workspace account. In addition to this new “Add to Calendar” button, Gmail can use Gemini to create Calendar events through its side panel.
