BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Vermont middle and elementary schoolers will get the chance on Monday to spell their way to Washington, D.C. The Vermont State Spelling Bee kicks off Monday afternoon.

The practice paid off Tuesday night, as Chukwuma-Eze won The Lima News Regional Spelling Bee by correctly spelling the word "pinnate," an adjective for an object resembling a feather.
