Some top Walmart managers will now make as much as $620,000 annually as part of a broader pay raise from America’s biggest retail chain.

Some top market managers overseeing roughly a dozen stores will make over $600,000 a year. The entry rate for that position has also increased by about 25% to $160,000 annually. Walmart’s sales have been strong overall, despite other retailers reporting a slump in sales.

Walmart said it will increase base salary, stock grants, and bonus pay for around 440 market managers who each oversee multiple retail locations.
