Democratic lawmakers stood on the steps of USAID headquarters in Washington, D.C. on Monday and called out President Trump and Elon Musk for attempting to dismantle the agency.

Representative Ilhan Omar’s Republican colleagues are once again calling for her to be deported because they don’t understand U.S. law.

During a press conference at USAID’s headquarters, Rep. Ilhan Omar shared how she benefitted from the agency’s services as a child in a refugee camp. She and other Congressional Democrats argue President Trump does not have the authority to shut down USAID.
