BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Baton Rouge man was arrested in connection to a January shooting that left one person dead. The Baton Rouge Police Department said Robert Hill, 37, was shot and killed in his car on Oswego Street near Plank Road around 9 p.m. Jan. 31.

One man died after a shooting on Oswego Street Friday night, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department. Officers were called to the scene shortly after 9 p.m. Robert Hills, 37, was shot in his vehicle, police said. He died at the scene.

Baton Rouge Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting after being called to the scene at 11:17 p.m. Saturday in the 6500 block of Blackberry Street.

Joseph Jacobs, 31, was arrested Friday in the 6200 block of Blueberry Street by the U.S. Marshal's Taskforce. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a count of second-degree murder related to the March 28, 2022, death of Frederick Harris, 21.
