The driver, Brenden Cary, 19, of Franklinville, was traveling north on Route 55 in Elk Township around 4:15 p.m. Sunday when his car’s right front corner struck an SUV ahead of him, police said.

The accident killed two 19-year-old residents of Franklinville, Brenden Cary and Dominic Reyes, as well as a 17-year-old male whose name was not released, according to a police account.
