A newly discovered asteroid named 2024 YR4 now has a 2.2% chance of affecting Earth in 2032 after recent observations.

Astronomers track asteroid 2024 YR4, with a 1.9% chance of impacting Earth in 2032, but NASA said there's nothing to be worried about.

Last week, the European Space Agency (ESA) gave the asteroid a 1.3 per cent chance of hitting the Earth on Dec. 22, 2032.
