Tornadoes, damaging winds and large hail are possible Monday as a severe storm is expected to move through central North Carolina, forecasters say. The storm may reach the Triangle around 3 p.m. and could continue until 10 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Raleigh.

Monday is a Weather Warn Day for the possibility of severe thunderstorms. The risk for those thunderstorms is most significant in Upstate South Carolina.
