As the counting begins for the Delhi assembly elections, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from the New Delhi assembly constituency, Parvesh Verma on Saturday said that it's an important day for Delhi and prayed for the formation of BJP government in the national capital.

Incumbent Aam Aadmi Party on the back foot because of voter fatigue, but analysts predict a ‘much tougher fight’ between the parties.

Voting was underway on Wednesday in Delhi, the union territory that includes the capital of India, New Delhi, to decide the 70 members of its legislative assembly in a tight election whose results are scheduled to be declared on Saturday.

Two exit polls released on Wednesday gave BJP an edge over AAP in the Delhi assembly polls, one of the four analysed here gave the incumbent a third consecutive decisive mandate and another gave BJP an even clearer win.
