The National Weather Service warns there may be a one-inch coating of snow and freezing rain throughout the day.

Meteorologist Dalencia Jenkins says it will be partly cloudy for the rest of Friday but there is an Impact Weather day for Saturday with snow and ice expected. There is a Winter Weather Advisory in place staring Saturday morning and lasting throughout the day and into the evening.

Of all the precipitation types, freezing rain is by most measures the worst because it can weigh heavily on trees and power lines.
