NAIROBI, KENYA: The tourism sector on Tuesday got a major boost as President Uhuru Kenyatta opened two international hotels and laid the foundation stone for the tallest building in Africa.

In May this last year, President Uhuru laid foundation stone for the tallest building in Africa. Once completed, it will displace South Africa’s Carlton Centre as Africa’s tallest building.

The groundbreaking ceremony, held on Wednesday, marked the beginning of a 40-storey skyscraper that will become Nigeria’s tallest building and a new landmark in the African financial landscape.
