Alberta Premiere Danielle Smith has taken a ‘Team Canada’ stance after months of measures that could help prevent the looming 25% tariffs. The provincial head of US’s largest energy trade partner from Canada also visited Trump in Mar-a-Lago in January before his swearing-in in a bid to ease threats.

Alberta is at least the fifth Canadian province to announce it will halt purchases or sales of U.S. liquor in response to Trump’s tariffs.
