A brush fire on New York’s Long Island that has burned 400 acres and prompted a response from 80 fire departments and 600 personnel is now 80% contained, according to Suffolk County officials.
The brush fires were mostly contained by Sunday morning after burning about 600 acres, injuring two firefighters and prompting a state of emergency Saturday.
Parents are calling for swift action after incidents of antisemitism at Paul J. Gelinas Junior High School in the respected Three Village School District.
