Bjorkstrand was acquired by the Kraken in a July 2022 trade with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Bjorkstrand also scored both goals in the Kraken's Game 7 win over the Colorado Avalanche to clinch the franchise's first playoff series win. An All-Star in 2024, Bjorkstrand has 37 points in 61 games so far this season.

What could be a busy week of NHL trade deadline activity for the Seattle Kraken started with a bang on Wednesday.

According to multiple reports, the Seattle Kraken have traded former Columbus Blue Jackets forward Olivier Bjorkstrand along with Yanni Gourde to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Tampa Bay Lightning are a perennial contender in the Eastern Conference. While their run of three straight Stanley Cup Final appearances is over, they are still looking to add another banner to the rafters.
