2022年12月22日 · Break out the memory sticks and keep an eye out for the red bat—Camp Hi Hill is coming back. More than a decade after the Long Beach Unified School District was forced to close its beloved outdoor school, the district is close to bringing back a similar program at a new location, with a target of doing so for the 2023-24 school year.

Hi Hill Outdoor School is operated by the Long Beach Unified School District. The school is located on thirteen acres of government-leased land in the Angeles National Forest near Mt. Wilson, fifty-two miles from Long Beach. Every fifth grade student in LBUSD has the opportunity to attend Hi Hill and learn in our outdoor classrooms.

2012年2月1日 · Hi Hill was the best. We hiked in the rain to a small waterfall, we learned how to set a table, they taught us how to square dance, we took walks at night and talked about the stars. Great memories. I went in 1978 when I was in 6th grade at Lowell. Formerly called Opids Camp: I went to several camps with schools when I was younger.
