2016年12月2日 · You need hardware to output surround sound. Some soundcards support dolby headphones, allowing to decoy surround sound over stereo. I did it for fun, but got tired of it real fast. Its just muffled sound of giving you impression being surround. If you want trully to experience 5.1 or 7.1 go to cinema or buy speakers setup.

So I just got the arctis 7, and I've never had a headset with anything more than stereo sound. So I'm using it with the DTS 7.1 enabled.. listening to music, watching hbo, and playing games. and it just sounds terrible. Like I'm listening underwater. It sounds so much better with the 7.1 turned off regardless of what I'm doing.

If you are gaming, then a 7.1 headset would be perfect due to being able to hear all the sound around you. The only thing that you should be aware of is that horror games are more intense with 7.1. Now if you are not going to do any gaming, then I would say that 7.1 sound would be overkill. That is due to movies not being set up for any 7.1 sound.
