Also, the Apple Pencil keyboard isn’t the same as the mini keyboard even though it looks similar. The Apple Pencil keyboard cannot be spread into the full size one.

There is no indication the pencil is charging except if you have a charger the MagSafe is plugged into has a charge rate meter.
