2021年6月13日 · LG 47LN5700. The backlight on my LG tv is not working. I took it apart expecting to replace a few LED’s. After testing each row of strips (6), I found one entire row (R1 and L1) is not lighting up. All other rows are good. What could be the problem and how do I fix it?

The tools I used and the strips ready for installation. The fine people at LG make it fool proof to insert the new strips by putting a cutout in the strip and a tab in the frame. REMEMBER to test fit the plug into the connector. One side of my LED had misaligned pin that I had to straighten to get the plug to fit. Very difficult to do in frame.

I opened the back cover of my tv and the LD701 LED was blinking 3 times every some seconds… I thought that maybe was the power board, but i also red that if the LED on the power board blinks for 3 times that means that i have an open LED strip.

2023年11月19日 · I know the backlight is the problem, I can see the picture under the flashlight and our local repair shop confirmed backlight is the issue. They however told us replacement parts are no longer available. I do not believe them and want to try repairing the TV myself. Other than the backlight the TV works just fine.
