2019年3月11日 · There is an excellent analysis of what areas around exits on 128 looked like before the highway was built. In Waltham, where I live, you can see a bunch of farms around the Bear Hill Run Valley, for example, where the highway was cut through the area.

The Town of Boston in New England by John Bonner is the first printed map of Boston, Massachusetts. Bonner (circa 1643-1726) was a captain, navigator, and shipwright. A wealth of information about pre-Revolutionary Boston is available through Bonner's map, including street layouts, churches, and public buildings.

Designed to cut through densely-populated areas inside and outside of Boston, both projects were eventually halted and abandoned in the early 1970s.
