2024年1月15日 · The FAA registry says that N252DL is a 1975 Cessna 310R, serial number 310R0242. The same plane was previously N5122J, until maybe 2015. I wonder if it was painted then, and note that repainting is an opportune time to remove deicing boots, which some people hate because they slow the plane down. The 310R has three possible deicing systems.

2005年3月9日 · The Cessna 310 landing gear (which is common with the C-320,C-335,C340, C-401,C-402,C-411,C414,C-421) is an electric gear that utilizes push pull tubes to actuate the gear and doors. It's a robust system but does require maintenance. Over time wear on bushings and bolts can get the gear out of rig.

2020年8月9日 · When we were concentrating on flying East of the rockies, the 310J had absolutely no issues flying from east of the rockies to the Atlantic coast. Cost of ownership drops quite a bit going with a normally aspirated 310 vs turbo engines. Buy a good, clean 310 and go long distance flying!

2009年5月20日 · A friend of mine bought a Cessna 310. When it is in the hangar and he turns on the master switch, the fuel pump comes on. We figured out that it is connected to the same circuit breaker as the Nav lights, so we could turn it off since we weren't going to start it, but inside the hangar, the fuel pump in the left side tip tank is awfully loud.
