PS5/PS5 Pro Linear PCM vs Dolby Atmos - AVS Forum
2024年11月7日 · Games don't run Dolby natively, just the sound from each channel. In the PS5 settings you can set the channels and locations/angles so the game audio processing functions better for spatial audio. Your AVR can matrix to Atmos or whatever you want after that, if …

2021年7月15日 · Dolby sounds louder, more detailed and open me. I use Dolby Atmos with my Arctis Pro + GameDAC in Hi-Res mode on Desktop.. However, GameDac has built-in DTS for Game Mode. I think DTS has punchier bass delivery. On laptop, my Scar 15 has a custom Dolby Atmos setting (dynamic) that makes any pair of headphones sound louder and more detailed.

is there really a difference between DTS and AC3 | AVS Forum
2013年7月11日 · It's not meaningful to compare a lossless dts-MA track to a low bitrate DD 5.1 version. I believe the OP is asking about differences between lossy DTS and DD 5.1. As for volume, Dolby uses a bit of metadata called Dialog Normalization, which usually telles the decoder to lower the volume by 4dB. That's why Dolby generally sounds quieter than DTS.
DTS or Dolby Digital Pro Logic II? - AVS Forum
2011年6月19日 · DTS (the company) is fully independent of Dolby, and offers DTS (the codec) and DTS Neo:6, DTS (the codec) is the prime competitor to Dolby Digital while Neo:6 is the prime competitor and rough equivalent to Pro Logic II. DTS (the company) doesn't really offer anything comparable to Pro Logic. As far as what you "should" use, thats your own choice.

2018年1月16日 · Dolby Surround extracts ambient (uncorrelated) content from the base layer speakers, so the overhead sound is more about extending diffuse immersion overhead vs. trying to pinpoint effects. DTS Neural:X extracts correlated sound, so you'll get more precise "discrete sounding" effects moved to the overheads.

2023年7月27日 · As @sdurani said, DTS Neural:X is an audio up-mixer, not an audio codec or format. It will up-mix any PCM or DTS (some AVRs will even up-mix Dolby audio) 2.0, 5.1 or 7.1 lossy or lossless audio up to 11.1 channels if you have DTS:X or …
