1 天前 · El Capitán State Beach offers visitors a sandy beach, rocky tidepools, and stands of sycamore and oaks along El Capitán Creek. It’s a perfect setting for swimming, fishing, surfing, picnicking and camping. A stairway provides access from the bluffs to the beach area. Beach wheelchairs are available for use by the public with no cost.

Nestled by the coast in historic groves of 350 acres of oak and sycamore trees along seasonal El Capitan Creek, our cedar cabins and adventure yurts cater to “luxury” campers who seek a nature experience in comfort combined with fireside gatherings.

El Capitan State Beach Campground is 17 miles up the coast from Santa Barbara. The campground features well-spaced out campsites among the trees on bluffs overlooking the beach. These beautiful campsites are among the nicest on the California coast. A bike trail leads west along the coast connecting El Capitan with Refugio Beach.

El Capitán State Beach offers 132 standard campsites, 5 group sites, and Hike and Bike camping. Reservations can be made through ReserveCalifornia.com or by calling 1-800-444-7275. Reservations for El Capitán State Beach can be made day-of or in advance up to six months to the day of the arrival date.

El Capitan State Beach Campground has 119 standard campsites which can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents. The campsites are located in clusters, all close enough to walk to the beach. Nine other campsites are limited to RVs or trailers only.
