The DNA of Forest School is hard wired into the Sixth Form. However, there are features of the Sixth Form that are distinct. So much of what we do in the last two years of the School is about setting you up for life beyond the White Gates, ready to take on what the world has in store.

Step Up To Forest 6 - a hybrid between sixth form and college. Study our wide of range of A level and vocational subjects in our purpose-built Sixth Form only centre. It is also fitted with WIFI throughout, and a Sixth Form only all-day cafe.

Earrings are permitted in Sixth Form (Years 12 & 13). Festival style wristbands are not permitted. Hair needs to be neat and tidy, and suitable for a business environment.

Students are expected to achieve an attendance record of 95% or above for all lessons whilst at The Forest School’s Sixth Form. Where there are concerns around lesson attendance, the student will follow the Sixth Form staged support system. The majority of Sixth Form uniform can and should be purchased before students arrive at Felsted - there are only a small number of Sports Clothing items that you will need to buy in our Tailor’s Shop on site. Everything else can be bought at any major clothing store prior to arrival (such as Next, John Lewis, Marks and Spencer).

Nursery and Sixth Form. Nursery and Sixth Form pupils are not required to wear uniform. However, in these circumstances, the clothing worn by pupils must still follow some fundamental principles: It must be safe and practical for school use. It must not promote unacceptable messages – drugs, violence, racism, etc.
