Your kit should be drop-based with reagents rather than those test strips that many pool stores are starting to sell - those are not as accurate. The new plaster generates high pH, so you want to monitor the pH and keep it between 7.2-7.6.

2016年11月24日 · In the short run, the pH will go down. Because of the high TA, the pH will creep back up, as CO2 bubbles out of the system. So add more acid. Every mole of acid that you add will do something useful. In the short run (or at high pH) it will lower the pH, and/or in the long run (at low pH) it will lower the TA.

2017年9月13日 · The pH is too low and the TA is too high. Low pH causes carbon dioxide and high TA creates carbon dioxide. You're trying to do both. It won't work. Every pH target requires a different TA to keep the pH stable. The lower you want to keep the pH, the lower you have to keep the TA. We recommend that people avoid copper.

2016年7月21日 · Irritated eyes comes from combined chlorine being too high and rubbing ones eyes after emerging from under water. So the optimal pool pH is anywhere in the 7 range where your pool water naturally wants to settle at. For many pools, you need to lower TA to keep pH rise under control. My TA is 50ppm and I have 50ppm borates in my pool water.

2012年3月1日 · What id like to know is, if you had this problem how would you approach it, low alk, high ph. What chemicals are most useful for this situation. I definitely think adding CYA will help me, because that means I won't to have to add as much chlorine to the pool, which has a high ph. Help and responses are very appreciated.

2018年6月1日 · That is where my trouble started. TA was measured by the pool store above 250. So i started adding muriatic acid to combat the high TA. This, as I came to understand, nuked my pH all the way down to about 6.8. The other night I added some pH Increaser I got from the pool store. This upped the pH slightly to 6.9 and got the TA to about ~130.
