2021年8月17日 · The official opening of Cablebús 2, the longest ropeway line in Latin America, took place on August 8. The ropeway system is located in the district of Iztapalapa, in the southeast of the Mexico City metropolitan region, and offers residents a better and, above all, safer and faster connection to the metro stations.

The Sistema de Transporte Público Cablebús, simply branded as Cablebús, [a] is an aerial lift transport system that runs in the Gustavo A. Madero and Iztapalapa areas of Mexico City. [2] It is operated by Servicio de Transportes Eléctricos, the agency responsible for the operation of all trolleybus and light rail services in Mexico City. [6]

Equipped with more than 300 10-passenger cabins, the new “Cablebús 2” ropeway system by LEITNER will carry 50,000 people per day over a total route of 10.6 kilometres and over 7 stations. The two terminal stations of the ropeways are connected to the subway line 8 at “Constitución de 1917” station and to subway line A at “Santa Martha” station.

Gliding through the sky, suspended in a modern gondola while taking in panoramic vistas of ancient pyramids, towering mountains, and colorful neighborhoods below.

We will experience the aerial view of of Mexico City’s sheer size by traveling along the southern end of Chapultepec Park on a gondola lift car. We will visit two of the city's most famous transportation systems and the grounds of a former presidential mansion.

With the inauguration of the ropeway project Cablebús Línea 3, Mexico City continues to lead the way in innovative urban mobility infrastructure. Once again Doppelmayr has been the city’s partner for building this modern gondola system.

2023年8月31日 · Line 3 of Mexico City’s Cablebús system is under construction and anticipated to open to the public in December of 2023. The monocable detachable gondola system would include 6 stations over a distance of 5.42 kilometers (3.36 miles), and would connect all four sections of the the iconic Chapultepec Forest.

Mexico City celebrates its urban Doppelmayr ropeway. Yesterday, on July 11, 2021, Mexico City celebrated the opening of Cablebús Línea 1. The almost ten-kilometer-long urban ropeway link connects directly to the city’s largest transport hub and was implemented together with Doppelmayr, the world market leader in ropeway construction.
