Rockingham Speedway and Entertainment Complex (formerly known as North Carolina Speedway from 1998 to 2007 and North Carolina Motor Speedway from 1965 to 1996) is a 1.017-mile (1.637 km) D-shaped oval track in Rockingham, North Carolina, United States.

The announcement was made Thursday afternoon, with both the Xfinity Series and Truck Series set to return to the one-mile racetrack on Easter weekend.

With the 2.5-mile Daytona track opening in 1959 and the 1.5-mile facilities at Charlotte and Atlanta a year later, it was believed a one-mile track best suited Rockingham. Initially named North Carolina Motor Speedway, the track that became affectionately known as “The Rock” was located 10 miles north of Rockingham adjacent to U.S. Highway 1.
