2019年9月15日 · Optical flow will absolutely give you the best slow motion - *if it works on your particular shot(s)*. Some shots work better than others. Shots with simple framing and high contrast will usually be good. Shots with complex elements like water, foliage for example - may not be so good.

Optical flow is great technology but it has a hard time handling certain things. As you've noticed, at times it will distort moving parts of an image, often this looks like parts of the background being 'dragged' by the foreground moving object. 'Wavy' is a good description!

2024年1月2日 · Then slow down the clip by 50% using optical flow. After rendering it gets much smoother. I would hope there would be an easy option to use optical flow even without speed change. If you do this AFTER the edit, it shifts all your audio clips in the timeline. And Optical Flow introduces lots of artifacts, so I dont think this is a good workflow.

2020年2月25日 · When I change the speed to lower than 100% and change "Frame Sampling" to "Optical Flow", usually, the yellow bar above the clip would turn red and you would render it to make Optical Flow work. But now, it doesn't turn red anymore and rendering does nothing.

One thing you can try is doing your slowdown in stages (ie. from 100% to 80%, render and export, then again, repeat and so on).
