Located in Zavala County, The Vaughn Whitetail Ranch is 95% South Texas brush, providing a natural habitat for our Whitetail deer herd. This location known as “The Golden Triangle” is a unique combination of high protein vegetation grown in red sandy loam soils.

Any hunt the draws Blood, Bone or Hair is considered a shot deer, and the Hunter is responsible for the full cost of the hunt. We will give the Hunter the option of calling in Tracking Dogs to locate the Deer at a cost of $450 – $500.

As stated earlier, 95% of the ranch is heavy South Texas brush with a variety of soils and over 150 species of plants, giving the Vaughn Ranch guests a chance to experience a truly unique wildlife habitat.
