I remember Benoit's death so clearly because I was at a holiday resort where you had to pay 50p for an hour of internet. So I put my coin in and went onto the usual wrestling news sites and it said something like "CHRIS BENOIT AND FAMILY KILLED" and it said that Benoit and his family were murdered. I don't remember the exact verbage.

If David was able to have a successful pro-wrestling career, that would be the closest thing to a sensationalized redemption story you could ask for in a case like this.

Eddie Guerrero was my second hero. Chris Benoit was my first. When I was ten, my mom knocked on my door and said, very quietly, that Eddie Guerrero had died and it was on the news. We watched that, and the subsequent SmackDown when it aired. It was the first traumatizing experience I ever had.

I'd always read/been told by others that Benoit had the brain of an 80 year old man with Alzheimer's disease. Benoit was very well spoken. Very knowledgeable and calm. Even his dad went into more details when he would be asked about something in interviews, for example Chris Benoit’s 2004 interview with Michael Landsberg. Chris was quiet, but not as awkward as David seems.
