For example, most Lenovo uses F8 or Fn+F8, or a switch above the lens, HP has a camera key or a button on the side of the laptop, MSI uses F6 or Fn+F6, etc. If you are not sure, please hold down Windows + R keys, type in msinfo32.exe and hit enter.

I was about to start a meeting and my camera (the one that's part of my laptop) wouldn't work in the meeting platform, but then I realized not even the Windows camera app was working, showing me the attached image. I tried rolling back the driver, uninstalling driver and scanning for hardware changes, rebooting, shutting down, and nothing.

2021年3月23日 · I can turn the camera on with the camera app. The green light lights up and I get a popup on my screen that says "camera on" but all I see is a black screen. The camera is not covered up by anything and there is no button on my keyboard to enable/disable the camera (as far as I can tell).

I've verified that I have the most up to date drivers and BIOS from Asus (actually the camera driver is quite old, 2006, but says it is the correct driver).
