Eldridge Park is an amusement park located in Elmira, New York, which opened around the turn of the 20th century. Covering roughly 15 acres (6.1 ha), it is dedicated to the memory of a local physician and is still operating.

In 1857, Dr. Edwin Eldridge purchased what would later become known as Eldridge Park, Elmira, NY. The land had a lake, lots of trees, and plenty of beautiful natural features. The very first feature of the park was a sculpture garden, which included many statues and a beautiful fountain.

With a walking trail that beholds a gorgeous view of Eldridge Lake, Eldridge Park is a popular spot for elderly walkers, fishermen, pet owners, families, and sports enthusiasts. Eldridge Park features several special events throughout the year.

Some swear you could even fly high enough to skim some nearby trees! In 2012, a Sail Planes-type ride known as the Thunderbirds was brought to the park and restored in its likeness to reprise its high-flying role as an integral part of the Eldridge Park experience.
