HMS Tiger was a battlecruiser built for the Royal Navy during the 1910s. The ship was the most heavily armoured British battlecruiser at the start of the First World War in 1914, but was not yet ready for service.

HMS Tiger was a conventional cruiser of the British Royal Navy, one of a three-ship class known as the Tiger class. Ordered during the Second World War, she was completed after its end. Tiger was in service by 1960 and served in the Far East and then with the Home Fleet before going into reserve at the end of 1966.

HMS Tiger (C20) was another Minotaur-class cruiser, initially ordered as HMS Bellerophon. She was renamed and launched as HMS Tiger in 1945. She was laid up in 1946 and completed in 1959 as a Tiger -class cruiser.

2019年12月8日 · HMS Tiger served with Beatty’s 1st squadron of battle cruisers. She took Part in the Dogger Bank battle, her first major commitment, taking six hits, blowing off her Y rear turret, but only suffered 11 dead and 11 wounded.

2024年3月25日 · H.M.S. Tiger, the only member of her class, was the last battle cruiser laid down for the Royal Navy before the Great War.

HMS Tiger was the last battlecruiser to have mixed firing for her boilers. The ship could accommodate up to 3,800 tons of fuel oil in her double bottom. The proposed sister-ship HMS Leopard was cancelled.

She was the Flagship of an expedition to colonise North America in 1586 lead by Sir Walter Raleigh. She ended her life as a floating battery and was condemned in 1605.
